Dealing with Pet Illness and Bereavement

Losing a pet often feels much the same as losing a loved one. They have been with you through sickness, health, and several life changes. For some, who haven’t made that connection, it’s hard to understand feeling that level of grief for a pet.  Several hospitals are now offering new or better programs for dying pets and their owners. 

Hospice care for pets is a growing field that is looking to help ease the pain of seeing your animal suffer and helping to teach owners how to better deal with grief.
